Brain Presentations

MaryAdele is an experienced educator, author and trainer who specializes in
developing curriculum and trainings that are informative and fun.  She prides
herself on being a great trainer with the skills to keep audiences engaged while
participating in activities that are both fun and funny.  Each workshop, seminar
and training is a thoroughly planned event where perfection is not too much to

MaryAdele's brain presentations focus on the basics of adolescent brain
development and the newest research in the ever-growing field.  Specific focus
areas that she concentrates on are: (1) alcohol and drug abuse impact on the
developing adolescent brain; (2) the impact of technology on the development of
empathy and social skills; (3) the need of excitement and risk for today's youth;
and (4) the development of cognition and decision making ability in at-risk teens.

Dating Violence
A workshop on how adolescent brain development is connected to the passions
and excitement of teen dating. Topics include (1) basic adolescent brain
development; (2) the influence of puberty and hormones; (3) the impact of
technology on the youths' skills involved in successful interpersonal
communication; (4) the dynamics of dating violence; and (5) considerations for
intervention that are more adolescent brain friendly.
Reach & Teach Adolescent Moms
A workshop for parent educators, social workers, case managers, and any adult
who works with adolescent moms. Learning Objectives are: To create a full
understanding of brain development; To develop an awareness of the impact of
early experiences have on learning, behavior, and relationships throughout life;
and to gain insights on how to use knowledge of brain development to better
understand and connect with teen parents
